A very warm welcome from all the team in Ladybird Class. That is myself, Mrs Harrison and also Mrs Davies who teaches the class on Tuesdays when I am planning, preparing and working on assessment with Mrs Button and leadership time.
Mrs Bowers is our TA (teaching assistant) she works every day except Wednesday afternoon when Mrs Kamal (TA) supports the class. Our SMSA (Dinner lady) is Mrs Ware.
The children have settled into school routines well and are learning how to get around the school. They are great at lining up and walking round in a tidy line. They are also fabulous at coming in on their own. Thank you for supporting them in that. They know where to put their water bottles and where their pegs are.
The children have enjoyed trying out the different activities in the classroom everyday. They have also liked playing with the children in Bee class during playtimes and in the outdoor spaces.
Please remember to send your child to school with a coat even if it is fine as it may start raining during the day and we go outside rain or shine!
All the book bags are now labelled and the children are good at putting them in the right box. They have all had a reading book to share at home. Please help your child to enjoy this by looking at the pictures and following the text. It is a good idea to read each book at least twice. Thank you for the comments you have made in their Link Book. It is really important we know how they are getting on with their books at home so a brief note is helpful but if you are really short of time a tick will let us know that you have shared the book with them.

Books will be changed on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please send their books and Link Book in EVERY day as we will be hearing them read during the week and will need to record in them.
Both groups have had for PE. If your child finds undoing buttons and zips hard please can you practice at home, thank you. On the days we do PE -Tuesday and Thursday it is easier if you leave the buttons on the white tops undone. We try our hardest to help the children put their clothes and shoes on afterwards. Clear labelling helps but if you find you have another child's belongings please return them to school as soon as possible!
